Are you looking for other ways that the public can get involved in restoring ethics, constitutionality, and basic decency to our government? Are your followers looking for things they can DO besides email, phone calls, texts, and social media posts?
I am looking for influencers who are open to sharing information about my OperationSunshine.info project that informs and promotes the use of state Sunshine and Open Meetings laws to speak out to local government officials about the issues facing them, their family and friends, or their communities.
I feel that there are too many influencers who are focused on the problems of the current administration without providing concrete methods to act on the issues that their followers and members of the public see impacting their communities.
And as a former elected official myself, I know the power of seeing members of the public speaking up on issues they are concerned about. I know first-hand how difficult it can be for individuals to prepare a message and to speak up to the local power structure who are often their own friends and neighbors.
Nevertheless, the public is obligated to do so when the situation demands it, and there are simple techniques described on this website to help.
I welcome your help to share the website with a simple message that there is more we can all do besides scrolling through social media.
I think we can do better, and I welcome your help to build interest in using the tools already available to restore our democracy and rebuild trust that our government is “for the people” and not for the wealthy and powerful.
